Sorglosinternet provides a solution that allows you to share wifi without the worry.
Goals: We decided the logo should incorporate the concept of freedom with the ubiquitous wifi symbol.
Initially I had the idea of a flag with the wifi symbol on it, to symbolise independence, sovereignty, and being part of a group or movement. However, in the end that’s just sticking the wifi symbol onto another thing, not really incorporating them. And flags have other connotations- Borders, aggression, conflict, war.
The ability to fly is a freedom (from our human perspective anyway) so I started thinking of birds, bees, butterflies, paper planes, balloons, anything that can fly.
We preferred the butterfly as it was literally putting wings on wifi, and it was easy to identify the wifi bars.
